Message from the President | Office/Directors and Employees

The State Bank of Lebo began in 1884 as Lebo State Bank. It was a private bank owned by A.G. Tuller along with a few local people. In 1893 Lebo State Bank was incorporated with E.L. Traylor as cashier and managing officer and A.G. Tuller as president.

Following Mr. Traylor's death in 1917, T.E. Lewis was appointed as cashier and remained in this position until 1921 when Wayne M. Traylor took his place. In August of 1922, G.R. Evans was employed and a year later became cashier and managing officer, Mr. Evans served these roles until 1932 when Lebo State Bank was liquidated and reestablished as the State Bank of Lebo.

Not long after becoming the State Bank of Lebo, G.R. Evans was appointed to President and managing officer and J.O. "Jake" Williams was promoted to cashier.

Today, the State Bank of Lebo is run by the son of G.R. Evans, David E. Evans who works along side Debra S. Evans, granddaughter of G.R. along with Donald F. Perry and June Loree Evans.

The State Bank of Lebo has continued to expand and grow throughout the years but one thing has always remained the same, it is a bank full of community pride and everyone is always welcome!
